Because our wedding is tucked away in the beautiful Poudre Canyon, we have put together a few lodging options depending on the vibe you are looking for.
This is our main recommendation! We highly recommend staying here because the ceremony is directly on-site, making it the easiest option for you.
Step 1: Browse Property PhotosUse the official Riverside gallery link strictly to view photos and visual layouts of the cabins and tiny homes. Do NOT use this link to finalize your reservation, or you will miss our group discount pricing!
Step 2: View Available Units & CapacityCheck our master accommodations breakdown spreadsheet to see the full list of cabins and tiny home configurations, max capacities, and nightly pricing. Please note that there are multiple modern bathroom facilities on site equipped with running water that are fully accessible to everyone. Even if a specific cabin or tiny home lists no private bathroom inside the unit, community bathrooms are close by and available for all guests.
Great news! Our group discount code has been extended and now covers both the 8th and 9th. Click below to book your Riverside room block using the new discount link. The link expires on August 9th, and all available rooms will then open to the public. Please book your room before August 9th if you plan to stay with us at Riverside.

👟 Footwear and Attire Note: We are getting married directly on the bank of the beautiful Poudre River. Please plan to wear shoes that work well on sand and rocky ground. We strongly advise skipping stilettos so you can navigate the canyon terrain safely and comfortably. Also, while this is a special occasion, it is not a black-tie affair. We encourage you to dress up, but be comfortable and have fun. As for palette, it's any color that a leaf can be!
Our absolute first and primary recommendation is for guests to rent a car for the trip. If renting a vehicle is not an option, we highly recommend utilizing Groome Transportation as the secondary alternative to get up to Fort Collins. They offer convenient door-to-door shuttle service directly to any residence or hotel within Fort Collins (please note they unfortunately cannot drop off up in the Poudre Canyon).
Guests choosing the door-to-door shuttle service option must book their ride well in advance.
Alternatively, you can book their shuttle to the Harmony Transfer Center in south Fort Collins. From there, you can connect to the local city buses, which reach most parts of Fort Collins and are completely free to ride!
Groome TransportationCarpooling Request: Due to the remote location of the venue and the limited capacity of the shuttle, we strongly encourage you to drive your own vehicle if you are local or rent one when you arrive if you are able. If you are driving in either case, we ask that you open any available seats (even if it's only one) to other guests. We will coordinate drivers and passengers via the RSVP form. This will help us immensely with transportation logistics, and we greatly appreciate everyone's cooperation.

Old Town Fort CollinsThe historic downtown district that literally served as the design inspiration for Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A. Beautiful for walking, shopping, and people-watching.
Alie and Johnny’s story began in 2018 at a local Fort Collins bar called Dungeons and Drafts. It was karaoke night, and Alie had almost decided to stay home until her coworkers convinced her to join them. Across the room, she noticed Johnny and found herself staring with an endearingly goofy look. Sensing she would be welcoming, Johnny walked over, struck up a conversation, and left her with his card.
After a few weeks of complete quiet, Alie finally reached out to ask if he still remembered her. Johnny absolutely did, admitting he had been hoping she would contact him. Their official first date turned into a six-hour marathon running around downtown Fort Collins, drinking, laughing, and realizing just how well they clicked.
Over the next six years, they built a beautiful life together in Fort Collins, welcomed their pup Zeppelin, and shared a love for adventure that took them on travels to Mexico, Guatemala, and all across the United States.
In December of their sixth year together, during their annual road trip to visit Alie's family in California for Christmas, they planned a scheduled stop at Arches National Park in Utah. Because the park visit was already a known part of the itinerary, Johnny was able to keep their timeline tight without giving away his true mission: proposing exactly at sunset.
A chaotic morning scramble to pack caused them to leave the house late, leading to real, unromantic tension as Johnny drove aggressively to beat the clock. Alie snapped at him several times for driving like a madman, while Johnny focused entirely on the horizon, telling her directly that he would deal with her being upset later.
They made it to the lookout just in time, and as Alie took photos of the sunset, she noticed Johnny adjusting his backpack. She told him to hurry up and forget about the tripod, jokingly adding, "Unless you're going to propose, don't worry about it." Johnny simply turned around with the ring and replied, "Well, is it okay if I do it anyway?" Alie was completely caught off guard, the day's frustration instantly dissolved, and they celebrated that evening before sharing the news with her family the next day.
When it came time to find a wedding venue, Johnny's sister Heather helped them search from the very beginning, ultimately leading them to The Mishawaka. Choosing to tie the knot on the banks of the Poudre River holds deep meaning for them both, as this historic, 100-year-old canyon setting sits right beside the lifeblood of the area where they first met, fell in love, and built their life together.
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. Because we are already fortunate enough to have a cozy apartment filled with most of the essentials, we have put together a very small, traditional registry alongside a Honeymoon and Newlywed Fund. If you would like to honor us with a gift, a contribution toward our next chapter and future adventures together would mean the world to us!
We are putting the final touches on our guest system. Please check back soon to officially RSVP.
